CSC - Senior Social Worker/Senior Practitioner (Referral & Assessment)
Position: Senior Social Worker/Senior Practitioner
Location: Churchill Court, 2 Westmoreland Road, Bromley, BR1 1AS
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 3+ Months 3 days in office, 2 days working from home
Working Hours: 36 hours per week
Pay Rate: £ 214.76 per day

Job Responsibilities
Manage incoming referrals from the MASH service
Undertake Child and Family Assessments to identify and meet children’s needs
Assess risk and determine appropriate interventions and next steps
Hold and manage a caseload of newly allocated cases during duty weeks
Work as part of a duty rota (one week in every seven) receiving new referrals and prioritising work accordingly
Collaborate with team managers and other social workers within the Referral and Assessment Service
Ensure accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory requirements
Contribute to safeguarding and child protection decision-making
Person Specification
Must-Have Requirements
Significant recent experience working within a Referral and Assessment team
Proven experience completing Child and Family Assessments
Eligibility to work in the UK
Ability to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week
Strong understanding of safeguarding and statutory social work processes
CV required at submission stage
DfE Declaration required at submission stage
Completion of Confidentiality Agreement upon offer
Completion of Declaration of Interest upon offer
Nice-to-Have Requirements
Experience working within a local authority children’s services setting
Familiarity with Bromley MASH processes or similar multi-agency referral systems
Experience working in duty rota systems
